Is this the four cylinder, or six cylinder? I'm guessing four based on price and since I think all the six are GT. Standard/Manual transmission, or automatic? What color? Can you post photos?

No there was the 2M6 which wasn't a GT.Curzyk wrote:Is this the four cylinder, or six cylinder? I'm guessing four based on price and since I think all the six are GT. Standard/Manual transmission, or automatic? What color? Can you post photos?
There were V6 SEs also.

Re: FS 1984 Pontiac Fiero
i think all 1984s were Iron Duke 4 cylinders. Three speed auto or 4 speed stick (two choices, economy gearing or sport gearing). That year, red was very popular.
Interestingly, the Fiero was approved inside GM as an economy commuter car (gas crisis of 1979) By 1988, when they killed it, the sporty nature had won out overall, no one cared about gas mileage at that point.

I was thinking the first Fiero's were all 4 cylinders, it took a couple of years to beef it up to a V6.

Re: FS 1984 Pontiac Fiero
The original was a 4 (1984). We had a red one, one of very few with Rolling Chariot T-Tops (factory t-tops weren't until '88). In 1988 we got a brand new engine due to a recall for overheating. The 6 came out in '85 in the GT. Along with the GT, the SE ('86) and Formula had a V6 also.evan price wrote:No there was the 2M6 which wasn't a GT.Curzyk wrote:Is this the four cylinder, or six cylinder?
