Hearing on four gun bills Wed May 16

Post by MrMagoo »

Two pro gun bills and two anti gun bills will be heard in the Government Oversight and Reform committee Wed. May 16 at 9:45 AM in the Finance Hearing Room.

Pro - SB 281 1st hearing – sponsor testimony, Grant licensed firearm dealer right to refuse to sell firearm
Pro - SB 234 3rd hearing, proponent/opponent testimony. Regards subsidized tenant possession or using a firearm in unit.
Anti - SB 288 1st hearing – sponsor testimony, Firearm and ordnance control laws.
Anti -SB 278 1st hearing – sponsor testimony and opponent/proponent testimony. Restrict access to firearms if person dangerous.

Based on what I’ve seen earlier this year there will be a lot of red shirts (Moms demand action, etc) in the room. Let’s pack it with pro gun people too.

FYI to one & all, perhaps someone is new to the topic or just busy. SB288 is the companion bill to HB585. Senate version (smelly) of House version (smelly) HB585.

HB585 has a hearing same morning 8:30/am (posted by Chuck in '' Re: HB 585: Kasich supported bill on firearms'' thread) which also strangely seems smelly.

Info on HB585, here...

And I do not understand SB 281 being labelled a pro gun bill. I find it 'uniquely strange' it cropped up, right after several Ohio stores arbitrarily decided to stop gun & bullet sales to adults 18.0-20.99 years old

Yeah, I'm that good
