I understand, it's an inconvenient truth. Seriously though, I was planning on dressing conservatively, dress pants and shirt. Unfortunately something unexpected happened today, which will cause me to miss the hearing anyway. :( I will however write something to my state representatives on this issue.

Sorry you can't make it... another time!!

It went well. Rep. Wiggam handled the questions from the committee with aplomb. There were six (6) OFCC shirt wearing folks in the hearing room showing support.

I'm so glad that notification repeal is finally churning along in the Ohio General Assembly!!!

I don't think so.

I think we stopped having them produced.

I'd like to have a couple, as I help man tables for OFCC at some of the gun shows in N.E. Ohio.

Channel 10 in Columbus did a report on HB 142 this past Thursday or Friday. The tease did not put it in the best light. "On to something not so pleasant: Guns in America..."

Perhaps someone here has an idea for sourcing the logo shirts, hats, etc. from some maker here in Ohio, with a cut going to OFCC? And get a better price for the stuff than before too? Ten years or so back I ordered one OFCC ball cap, and a polo shirt as well, to work the gun show tables we had back then. With shipping, those two items set me back nearly $60, in 2005. I'd hate to think what the same supplier would get for the same items now.

Sorry about the off topic drift, maybe a new thread is in order for a discussion of our retail "store".
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

It's a shame that they didn't include the audio or video of the cop in NE Ohio who arrested and threatened to kill the motorist over not informing when the motorist was delayed trying to inform due to the cop constantly talking. That however wouldn't have fit the agenda most news organizations have on gun issues.

I have decided that if I am evolved in a situation that multiple officers are arriving on a scene that I would simply tuck my shirt/coat behind my gun so it is open carry which is legal in Ohio to avoid this situation . Any thoughts on this?
When I was involved in a motorcycle wreck a few years back, my 1911 ended up visible and I did not say anything to the responding OSHP troopers initially. The concern was centered on medical treatment for my ex and myself. Later I did mention to one trooper that I had the CHL. It was a non issue.

Another time I had a trailer tire blow out and as soon as I pulled off the road, an OSHP cruiser pulled behind me. By that time I was out of the truck and open carrying. I never mentioned the CHL.

Facts and stories sod abuse are hard to beat. Simply show cases where people forgot to notify answer arrested and then ask if they truly should have been arrested and what public good did it accomplish? I think this can easily pass everyone as ling as it isn't thrown in with other bills and then amended at that last minute to be stupid.
Easily ???? ( An interesting perspective !)

We haven't taken the correct perspective in the past nor do I recall it ever making it to a public speaking where we can give these examples. Legiatures don't like it when laws are abused, and notification is definitely one of those.
