Ain't activism fun?

Got held over at work by EMS run, just got out a few minutes ago. Too late for me to get started for Columbus, and honestly I'm tired. Sorry, see you another time.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I planned on going months ago and medical issues put a grinding halt to that at the last minute.
The crew even changed the date from weds. to thurs so I could go.
I'm just waiting for an update from some of them on how it's going or how it went after their finished.

Yeah, Darrel, I'd like a report on how it went too. How many actual Senators, as opposed to staffers did the group get to speak with?

Re: Advocacy at the Statehouse
It went well!
We had 15 total appointments that included 4 actual senators.
Advocates on our side numbered 8, so we broke up into 2 teams of 4 (all that can really fit in the offices we visit).
We got good responses from everyone including a member of the Civil Justice Committee who is VERY LIKELY to carry a notification penalty reduction amendment (making it a minor misdemeanor only, not an M1) for us here in the lame duck session! When I got home last night I forwarded his office additional supporting data to buttress our argument, but really it was Mustang380Gal who hit the home run in convincing him. Sometimes it just takes the right touch and she had it in spades!
Will keep a close eye on things as they develop quickly here in the final weeks of this general assembly.

Sounds like you guys had a great day! So very sorry I had to back out at the last minute, but I'll definitely try to make it next time.
