At least someone has introduced the bill. Now, all the folks who cannot imagine this being anything but a rousing victory will get a chance to how the political process works. And naturally, they'll also have an opportunity to get out from behind their keyboards and actually participate in that process.

-- Robert A. Heinlein, Beyond This Horizon
"Remember that protecting our gun rights still boils down to keeping a majority in the electorate, and that our daily activities can have the impact of being ambassadors for the gun culture ..."

I am sure our OGA will be overwhelmed with citizenry, lobbying the pols. Since many pro-parking lot citizens do not donate time nor money, to pols of their choosing, this should be an opportunity for their learning how government actually works.

If this gets anywhere, I know which side I'll have to stand on.

Some of the editorial staff writers of the Cleveland Plain Dealer have repeatedly opined gun owners and the NRA control our OGA. If such is the case, this proposal should be a slam dunk, should it not?

If that were the case the list of off limits locations would be a lot shorter.
We would have unrestricted and unqualified campus carry, school carry, gov building carry. Sort of like Utah.

I'm willing to provide some of the lobbying $$$ for the OGA et al to pass the bill and get it signed. Get it done already ..... before the next election!

If memory serves, the cost of a ticket to either the Ohio Senate or the Ohio House leadership fundraisers starts at $5,000.00 per person. Leadership is the game. That donation doesn't buy a vote; it only buys a limited amount of access. Politics is expensive.

8 already just in sponsor & cosponsors. Almost halfway there. Wonder where Kasich would stand on this with his primary aspirations?
I'll be on the phone and typing this week.

Please do not confuse contributions/access with bribery.

This proposal, I predict, will die a gruesome death, probably in committee.

If it ever would get to the governor, I hope he would veto same.

I for one will make my interests heard, and that is that self preservation to and from my place of employ trumps the contents of my auto regardless of who's concrete it sits on.
Unarmed people are vulnerable people, and criminal predators prey upon them.

Be sure to let your employer know you'll not take any guff from them regarding their concrete.
