Actually, was a bit surprised considering that it was on PBS.
Results at time I voted...
Yes. Increased regulations on firearms are necessary to prevent another tragedy like the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary. 3.61% (3,082 votes)
No. Laws like this unnecessarily punish lawful gun owners and will do little to prevent mass shootings. 95.38% (81,413 votes)
Unsure. It's important to keep the weapons out of the wrong hands, but this may not be the solution. 1.01% (865 votes)

Internet polls may not mean all that much, but one thing this poll does clearly show, pro-gun people are far more energized in voting for an internet poll than anti-gun people. I'm willing to guess that such a result likely also reflects some of the energy of those willing to get off a couch and go vote when it really matters as well.

Yeah, when the OP stated there was no surprise in the results, I took for granted there was going to be a liberal slant with the results it being PBS and all. Imagine MY surprise when I voted.
