If they are the candidates

Post by jmwildenthal »

What if they are the party nominees? Who do you vote for?

I'm not sure, myself, which I'd vote for.

No, sorry, we can't do this to ourselves. Fingerhut is a Democrat. He is fundamentally opposed to personal freedom and the rights of citizens to keep and bear arms. Heck, he was a mover and a shaker with Handgun Control, Inc.! He would for sure try to take actions against us.

Montgomery is a RINO. As such it is not so much that she is opposed to firearms rights as that she is not likely to do anything for us.

These are serious and major distinctions, and not something we can sluff off lightly. I would hope that Montgomery does not become the Republican candidate, but if she were to do so, she is certainly the lesser weevil when compared to Fingerhut. We can't just sit this one out.

Then vote for Pierce, the Libertarian candidate.

As much as I rail against wasting votes on the Libertarian party, If Montgomery and Fingerhut are the major party candidates, I will vote for Pierce.

AIN'T NO BULL!

That nematode crawled out from under his slimy rock during the HB12 testimony. I listened to him with my own ears.

He isn't just anti gun....he's anti conservative, gun, freedom, you name it. He might as well be a john kerry, or a hitlery clinton CLONE.

As with this poll, if this was the choice next November, I would write in "none of the above".

You can always write in Daffy Duck, or Micky Mouse!

I always wondered how many votes they get each Presidential election... I bet it would surprise some people!

In Texas that would get your entire ballot thrown out.

My suggestion is about strategic voting. If Fingerhut won, Bob Bennett would have to figure out how to keep that from happening again. I think the State Legislature wouldn't send any stupid gun control laws to Fingerhut. So electing him over Montgomery sends a message to the state GOP that they better work harder on culling RINOs, without a strong negative impact on the laws passed.

Montgomery wouldn't improve HB12, either. She'd probably sign an anti-utilitarian gun ban, and any other gun control measure Fingerhut would sign. I'm not sure what actual improvement she would be over Fingerhut, given that laws originate in the legislature.
