I bet this one breezes through on a fast track. Statehouse lawyers helping out courthouse lawyers. Will they even have support/proposal testimony, or just pass it in both Senate and House by simple voice vote by the end of this week? Goobernor Kasuck will then get his name on the bottom in nanoseconds.

Okay, they'll play the game and go through the motions, but I don't see this bill having to sit around until late December for approval.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

While I'm not a fan of giving special groups special privilege, given that the bill hasn't yet had the first committee hearing, much less been sent to the floor for a vote or passed, your characterization would seen to be premature at best.

I don't think so.

Glad to be wrong :) on both examples. Unfortunately I am absolutely correct at a minimum on the lowly regular folk type bills :o
