HB 152 - Hearing on 5/27 @ 2pm

[On]...Wednesday, May 27, the Ohio House State Government Committee is scheduled to hear and accept proponent testimony on House Bill 152, at 2:00 p.m., in Room 121.
Here is a link to the House State Government Committee: http://www.ohiohouse.gov/committee/state-government" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Please visit, call or email the members of this committee and request that they vote to pass this bill.

You can also submit your support in written form and send it to the committee members for their review.

IMHO, it means even more if you are the constituent of one of the Democrats on the committee. They need to be overwhelmed by calls of support for this bill.

Please and thank you !!

:D

Any updates on how the testimony went?
"Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home
Let me die in a pile of empty brass."
Amen

Go here: http://www.ohiohouse.gov/committee/state-government" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Click on May 27, 2015...you should see H.B. No. 152 listed with 4 or 5 proponents listed.

You can read the written testimony they submitted.

I was unable to attend. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

I went and spoke. Answered a ton of questions from the committee members, too. Some friendly to our cause, others not so much.

There's homework to do on our end. There are folks to be persuaded. The point about contacting committee members is a good one.

Do we need to contact them all or are we limited to the one in our district?

Hi!
I was perusing online when I ran into HB 152 and have seen no status updates in a long time. I was wondering if this has been indefinitely shelved or if there is some news of more current developments. As opposed to making a new thread I looked over the resource links attached to this one, and figured it would be better to bring this back to the front for some updates instead of being redundant.
Thank you for anyone that has some information. :)

Once the elections are over, what will most likely happen is the Ohio General Assembly will look at the various pro-gun bills that have been submitted, will pick one and roll parts of the others into it, and push it forward, pass it, and submit it for the Governor's signature, who will sign it, and it will go into effect in the spring of 2017. It is the Ohio way.

The lame duck conditions of the President and the Governor could have some effect on RKBA issues; we'll see.
