Misdemeanor DV
Someone I work with asked if they would be able to attain a chl after getting a DV charge 12 years prior. From what I know they would be denied. If I am wrong please let me know.

Re: Misdemeanor DV
If they were convicted of DV, not only will they be denied a CHL, they are prohibited from possessing a firearm under Federal law.

Re: Misdemeanor DV
That's what I thought. I hadn't seen any changes that would allow a chl or allow purchase after conviction.
