Lorain County processing
A lot of people were going to Erie county from Lorain County to get their applications processed due to the extensive wait time at LCSO. Lorain County Sheriffs Office has hired a person specifically for the ccw process to cut down on application time. Turned mine in on a Sunday, got a call that following Tuesday morning at 10am for pickup. They must have realized how much money they were losing from people going to Erie. Hope this helps anyone!

All such information is valuable here and much appreciated, thanks. As an aside I'll say it seems more useful to complain to the Auditor's office of any county where CHL matters are dealt with slowly rather than the Sheriff's office itself. You are correct about the fiscal angle.
