This sub-forum is strictly for the purpose of submitting of, and status updates related to, ORC 9.68 compliance. This could mean park bans, open carry bans, or anything that is a compliance issue. Note the format in which original threads were created. We'll track each individual case here and post updates if assistance is needed, etc. You may start a new thread here to notify us of a non-compliant scenario. Please try to research contact information for each city, village, etc, Email, fax, and postal addresses are great. Digital photos of infractions (Signs) are ideal. With limited exceptions this is NOT a discussion forum.

So here we are a year later, with Rib, White and Blue kicking off. Did any progress get made on the signage, or is it still inappropriately posted?

I work downtown. It's still posted. With the new city of Akron administration, it might be a great time to push this issue.

Too bad there aren't real teeth in ORC 9.68. If the admin/council could be fined, and forced by law to pay the money themselves from personal funds, we'd see signs falling like leaves in autumn. Better yet some jail time for offenders, but now I'm tilting at windmills. (Cue William Shatner's version of "The Impossible Dream", that's how it sounds when I sing it.)

By the way the above doesn't mean we should give up, OFCC should do so many OC walks that people mistake us for a fitness club. Alas, the one in the video was done by others, although there may have been a few of our members involved.
