Response from Springboro, Ohio

Good day Brian.

I apologize for the confusion as our old signage hasn’t been removed as yet.

We do follow and adhere to State Law on the firearms law for ORC 9.68.

We will have the signs taken care of now that we hope to see better weather.

Thank you.

That one needs a "Thanks. While you're at it, check your ordinances and any rules published on-line."

Springboro council meets on 1st and 3rd Thursdays.

This is on the agenda for 6/5/14:
EMERGENCY ORDINANCE: FIRST READING. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 646.15,
“WEAPONS”, OF THE SPRINGBORO CODIFIED ORDINANCE AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
Current Ordinance 646.15:
646.15 WEAPONS.
No person may bring any dangerous weapon onto park property.
(Ord. 95-28. Passed 6-15-95.)
It took them some time to get here, but the fact they are declaring it an emergency is a good thing.

The bad thing is that the agenda doesn't have the text of the amended ordinance.
