If it's on a building, it's okay IF it doesn't have wording restricting the premises.

I don't want to call Mr. Evans if the sign is legit. If the sign is invalid, I will use 12 telephones, if I have to.

:P
Sorry I don't have the ability to do that right now. I plan to go to the fair between now and Labor Day.

I received an email this afternoon from my on-site fair attendee that "the signs are down".

And you did it in under 30 days! Congrats!

Who's next? Any neighboring counties with bad signs?

It doesn't even matter if their fair is over for the season. Those fair boards/Ag. Societies meet at least monthly.

Hmmm, I might have to take a stroll around the Columbiana County fairgrounds.

Wow, way to go, guys! Not sure if we'll be attending the fair this year, but I like hearing the signs are down!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep an eye on the fairs that have dropped their signs and make sure they don't sneak them back up after the fair is over.

I can personally confirm that 1) the sign I photographed and posted here is down and 2) the sign at Gate F is down.

Running a little late with this....

Jim Evans is a Judge around here - I forget what position, but don't tell him that 'cause we were classmates at YSU many years ago.

I don't know where he stands on the 2A, but if you hand him a copy of 9.68, he's the type who would personally remove the signs if he didn't feel that his staff would handle it.

You don't want to appear in front of him if you're the BG.

(He's probably carrying, too. Retired OSP.)

Regards,
Stu.

I've tried to find any information about the Mongomery county fairgrounds in any posts on here. I was considering going there labor day weekend. Do you have any ideas the situation there? Thanks

It looks like we're good. This is the only sign present and it appears to be in compliance. Photo taken just moments ago.

NOT good. There is no "permit" required to open carry a firearm, so that sign is still BS.
