Looking for loud and flashy loads

Post by dl1911 »

Looking for some loud and flashy loads for a variety of calibers. Must be with components I can find today which I know will limit things. These will be used to send off a good friend that died the other week. I'm good to go with 357 Magnum (H110 is wonderful for that!), .45ACP and 10mm but am looking for loads for 9mm, .40S&W and particularly .38Special. So far I'm trying light bullets with Power Pistol but any other suggestions would be appreciated.

If you want loud and flashy, nothing's gonna top using black powder weapons...

Borrow somebody's 7.62X25 Tokerov pistol for flash and bang. But ditto on the black powder, I used our three cannon at Dad's funeral though it was quasi military graveside service.

I was going to say 7.62 x 25. Good stuff right there.

I get nice muzzle flash with Blue Dot but not as much noise as I get with Power Pistol. That's my go to powder for 10mm.

Maybe not really impressive, but anything with Power Pistol or Unique will give you a flash and bang. That's especially after using loads with Titegroup or W231.
