Cowboy chrony with Trail Boss powder

Unhappy with the variability of my Red Dot loads I thought I would try switching to Trail Boss since I wanted to also switch primers:

Taurus Gaucho with 5.5" barrel
813.9, 794.0, 807.6, 816.3, 829.3 - AVERAGE = 812.2 fps - ES = 35.3

.38 Spl 105-gr LSWC, Fed-100 SPP, 3.4-gr Trail Boss, 1.401-1.410" COAL
Rossi M92 with 16" barrel
961.7, 982.0, 982.1, 981.4, 969.2, 923.1, 995.7, 977.3, 949.0, 965.4 - AVERAGE = 968.7 fps - ES = 72.6
Taurus Gaucho with 5.5" barrel

While these velocities are acceptable for Cowboy Action Shooting I'm wondering if I shouldn't step up a couple rungs on the ladder and see if I can get a little more consistency as well.
