But... they use words like "CNC" and "penetration" and "wound channel!"

It's GOT to be the best thing since sliced bread!

Then again, sliced bread never did penetrate all that well...

Meh...as far as penetration goes, I'll put my super-hardcast spire points up against those "RIP" bullets any day.

Interesting.

I'd like to see this tested more rigorously.

Certainly looks to be a better concept than the "M.I.B." that was also recently introduced.

Wow, I have to say the video is extremely impressive. Would like to see more for sure.

As an alternative to those pricey factory slugs you could saw a short section of rebar and grind out a sharp point on it...then load it up in a shotgun shell. :D

So many of these 'wunderboolits' have come along through the years that it just naturally leads to cynicism anymore. Try:

1) A reasonably powerful caliber
2) Good shot placement
3) Potential of multiple shot placement
4) Random dumb luck factor

This of course presumes you're using ammo your gun will feed and fire reliably, and is somewhat accurate when being fired from it.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

It looks like those petals that separate from the main slug penetrate fairly well and disperse quite a bit. Good for creating more wound channel, bad if they exit the target in a crowded area.

The area beyond my target was clear, but I didn't think about the people standing 5' to each side behind him.

It is a neat idea though.

I watched their one YT video. That 'ballistic gelatin' looked jello-like. I'd like side by side comparisons with various tried and true rounds, like other 9mm or 357mag or 10mm Buffalo Bore.

I've never seen people so excited about a product based on one poorly-produced bit of marketing slop.

Does anyone else see some difficulty explaining to the jury why you decided to load your gun with high-end R. I. P. rounds?

Notice how little perm wound cavity there is with this round? seems to me that is would work better if you could keep those petals on... on the other hand, the chance of one of the petals poking a hole in a heart are higher than a single round...
