In an auto such as your Deagle you want something that develops the full power potential of the .44 Mag cartridge to cycle that big heavy chunk of metal correctly.

I show 10.2 as max also in my stuff, straight from the mfg.

Unique, Titegroup, W231/HP38 etc. are all too fast of powder if you need more power.

I would look into AA#9, WW296/H110, or 2400, maybe Blue Dot, but remember if you light load it will just get dirty. You need to load these slow mag powders up towards their max to get best effect and I would also use Mag primers because they can be slow to ignite.

My buddy gave me a pound of Red Dot. Has anyone tried this is a 44 magnum load?

Red Dot is even faster than Unique, it's faster even than Titegroup that I use! Not suitable for full-power Magnum loads. Great for 9mm or something like that.
