Can anyone tell me what type of brass this is? Headstamp is 7.92/ MM / 44

I will get the actual dims. and post them soon if that will help.

I don't know for sure what it is. Probably a military round. I would guess the 44 is for 1944 production.

More specifically, Canadian manufacture, possibly for CIA use in the late 40's to early 50's. The "44" is not an exact date code (1944).
