Germantown, Ohio

Open Carry is carrying a firearm unconcealed in Ohio. OC does not require a concealed handgun license, but the practice requires intimate knowledge of the law since there are places and situations where OC is prohibited but carrying concealed would be permitted. OC is also likely to attract attention. This forum is for discussion of OC, not for debating the pro's and con's or coordinating any type of protest events.

Germantown, Ohio

Post by charliej47 »

 I stopped at the Speedway in Germantown on Route #4 and as I started to get out of my truck, I Noticed a personer writing a report and a police officer. I took the plainclothes person as a detective. I asked "Guys did something happen here?" The uniformed policed officer said not here and then proceeded to walk over to his cruiser and talk to someone in the back seat.

I looked around and noticed that there were 3 cop cars sitting in the parking lot as I walked into the store to get a cup of coffee.

I was OC'ing and none of the police seemed to care. I did not notify or anything else. Just wondered what was going on, but no one in the store could tell me anything.
