Open Carry is carrying a firearm unconcealed in Ohio. OC does not require a concealed handgun license, but the practice requires intimate knowledge of the law since there are places and situations where OC is prohibited but carrying concealed would be permitted. OC is also likely to attract attention. This forum is for discussion of OC, not for debating the pro's and con's or coordinating any type of protest events.

When your only tools are a hammer and sickle, every problem starts to look like too much freedom.
In the restroom at Cabela's today, taking care of business with the porcelain wall fixture (no, not the sink), I overheard a very young man behind me quietly say, "Daddy, he has a gun!"
The father simply said, "Yes. He's allowed to."
While I really wanted to, it would have been too awkward to turn around and shake the man's hand.

So, I guess what I read or heard a long time ago is that kids tend to notice and adults do not. Interesting. Maybe 20/20 should do a story on that aspect of it.

It seems like kids notice more stuff going on around them. I've always thought part of that is because so many things are being observed by them for the first time in their lives. Let's face it, as adults we don't have very many 'What the heck is THAT??' moments anymore.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Dang it. I had just taken a drink of Pepsi. Now I have to clean up my desk and phone
I would personally love to spend another 30 replies educating you about the racist history of gun control, what an assault weapon is, the finer points of the law, or the varying lethality of different weapons. But I doubt you're interested. For some reason the statist side of this argument seems to think ignorance is strength. RookCastle

And I thought it was because they might be from Pickerington.

"Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom? Congress shall have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American ... The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the People."
