Wow...Idiot on the loose

I was walking my two boys back to the mothers apt sunday around 6:00pm. I only live about 2 blocks from her and whilt walking somebody in a truck drove by. they did a u-turn and pulled up beside me and told me I was an idiot and I had better cover my gun up or he was going to call the cops. He used a few words that honestly my kids could have done with out hearing. I walked on and kids went on in to apartment. i turned around to go on home and he was still there. On way back I told them that I would call police for them and then they left....Amazing how idiots can be so rude.

The Zimmerman/Martin rhetoric, the Newtown incident, the Aurora theater shooting, the Bloomberg bus tour - they have all stirred up the anti-gun crowds. The forces against 2A rights are more vocal than past years.

This reminds me of something that Mike Newbern said at PITP (paraphrasing here) - "The anti crowd will try to counter your rights and thoughts with emotion instead of fact". Just something to keep in mind when dealing with people that have a negative opinion on firearms. Also - there will be some people that will never sway from their belief that firearms are bad, just like we don't sway from our side.

Mike also said something about pie. I understand there will be pie somewhere along the line and I am looking forward to that. . . I have no idea what kind of pie but I do want that. . . These anti folks, just they want you to comprimise and give you're pie away. Essentially this guy was yelling hey you can't have that slice of 'murica pie shame on you ! No more slices of freedom with whipped liberty on top !~

Yes...I was "taken aback" by their boldness in actually confronting someone who carrying a gun. Seriously, what did he expect to accomplish? But what was really disturbing was the fact that he saw me with my kids (one of which is 12) and still found it ok to use words of such disgust!!! Seriously dude, curb your profanity around kids. My kids and I chuckled and made some jokes about amongst ourselves but I think if most people would just leave most people alone there would be alot more peace around here. I wished the police would have showed up actually so I could see his face when he realized our police force in our town are very pro gun lol!

The other week at the MAIG event in Columbus the antis were very confrontational with us, up to the point that Columbus PD escorted one of them off the property.

i was thinking the same thing, but he obviously felt safe in his vehicle, kinda like the internet tough guys.

this was my second thaught, i would have called right on the spot without even saying anything to them. just called and reported that i was being harassed by a random person while walking with my kids.
