Open Carry is carrying a firearm unconcealed in Ohio. OC does not require a concealed handgun license, but the practice requires intimate knowledge of the law since there are places and situations where OC is prohibited but carrying concealed would be permitted. OC is also likely to attract attention. This forum is for discussion of OC, not for debating the pro's and con's or coordinating any type of protest events.
Employees asked the man several times to leave the premises. He refused to go, so they called police.
He was cited on misdemeanor charges of inducing panic and criminal trespassing, police reports said.

I am not a lawyer. My answers are based on research, knowledge, and are generally backed up with facts, the Ohio Revised Code, or the United States Code.

Absolutely dumb. And not the OC aspect alone. Who would OC with a mask, any type of mask, on your face? Just stupid, in my opinion.
I believe my God is sovereign, but man still has been given free will/freedom of choice..therefore my faith in God does not contradict my choice to carry firearms for self defense & protection.
No argument here that he should have left when asked....many pharmacies are on high alert for obvious reasons. As far as the surgical masks - yes, he could have been wearing one for good reason. Many cancer patients with compromised immune systems are at a VERY high risk for common infections that could end up fatal. They wear masks everywhere they go. As per usual, we cannot pick and choose what is appropriate or not. The mask may seem asinine but its not our place...right?
Of course, I do live my OWN life as low-key as possible.

Depends on how cranked up he got. Given the location and circumstances, there's probably some good video.

You would reasonably figure that the police also asked the guy to leave on his own, before arresting him. (Even in Harlessburg.) To misquote Tweed Ring a little: Life is replete with chances, but not an infinite amount of them all in one day.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
