On 1420 WHK Cleveland, January 4, 2009 at 9pm, on the OPBA's show 'Call the Cops' They will be focusing only on the topic of Open Carry, they'll have pros and cons from local LEOs including patrolmen, FBI agents, and sheriffs.
http://www.opba.com/callthecopsflyer.htmShould be a good show, and give some pretty mainstream exposure to the issue of open carry.

The program
is named "Call the Cops." From the program description, it doesn't sound like they're soliciting non-LEO opinions on anything they present.

Could Jeff or Daniel call them and ask if we could be represented in that talk? The worse they could do is say no. At best all sides could be represented.

Let's make sure we don't get that guy that carried the shotgun into McDonalds to represent us.

While I don't ordinarily listen to WHK (Michael Medved grates on my nerves sometimes) I will most definitely tune in for this little program. Thanks for the heads up.

I listen to WHK every day. This ought to be good. I'll be tuned in Fo Sho.
Honestly though, what's to discuss? Open carry of a firearm is not an illegal activity in the State of Ohio. Are they going to advise us on the approved groveling techniques?
rdigital should call in.

Hopefully they are going to re-enforce that OC is fully legal, not a cause for "inducing panic" and not a reason to pull a gun on someone just because they have one on their hip. But that would probably be too much to ask for...
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away!

I'd love to be a part of that radio show.

For folks out of range of Cleveland AM signals, here is a link for WHK. Click on the red listen live button.

Can someone record this and make an MP3 of it? I think I'll be "trying" to get the kids in bed then - I'll be a Mr. Mom with an apron and a Kimber Ultra Elite (my nice Sunday carry gun).
