Open Carry is carrying a firearm unconcealed in Ohio. OC does not require a concealed handgun license, but the practice requires intimate knowledge of the law since there are places and situations where OC is prohibited but carrying concealed would be permitted. OC is also likely to attract attention. This forum is for discussion of OC, not for debating the pro's and con's or coordinating any type of protest events.
You are 100% correct. My point was that, regardless of what is illegal or legal, you can be charged with anything. It may or may not stand up in court. What Dan did was not illegal. The Oregon total firearms ban was, though.
Arming oneself is a god given right, but sometimes its illegal.
There a lot of things you could get arrested for that are not illegal. Happens all the time.
Well. There was a local ordinance against what Dan did, so it was illegal.
The law he broke was unconstitutional.
I think what you mean to say is that people are wrongfully arrested for actions which are not illegal.
