First Merit to Huntington

Postby WeinerDog » Fri Apr 07, 2017 1:35 pm

In case anyone's interested the old FM banks which were posted are no longer since changing to Huntington. At least the one in Norton.

Same thing here in my area. LOL, it's kind of funny - I switched from First Merit to Huntington because of the signs after a number of attempts to get them to take them down. Now I can use the same branch I used before (and I know the ladies remember me, and my attempts to get the sign down).

That's one way to get them down.
Never ask if you can carry at a non-posted place, but always ask why you cannot at one that is!
Just because they offer call ahead seating doesn't mean you call ahead for carry permission.

It can work the other way. As I recall, PNC posted in Ohio until it acquired National City which had not posted, partly because many National City customers, at least some large customers, raised heck about the PNC policy.

KeyBank closed my trust account for my NFA trust because...guns. They are a VERY anti-gun bank and I suggest that none of of do business with them. I escallated my issue to the bank president. His office basically told me to go pound sand.

Screw KeyBank.

Sounds like another (now repudiated Obama-era) Operation Chokepoint success story.

As far as Huntington is concerned I no longer bank there because of their loan policies. But with that said I went to the Huntington branch in Huber Heights Ohio one time and they have a entrance that you have to be bussed in once the teller sees you, then the door locks behind you and another door is there and both are locked till the teller busses you thru that door. I'm sure there is some kind of metal detector in that cubical. Very unfriendly environment. That branch must have been robbed a lot.
