Successful conversion -Romer's Bar and Grill in Bellbrook

Post by ArmyAndNavyVet »

My wife and I, and another couple, recently went to Romer's Bar and Grill at 4439 W Franklin St in Bellbrook, Ohio, only to find a no-guns sign on the front door. Oops!

I sent an e-mail to Mr. Romer asking him to consider removing the sign. I attached a copy of the OFCC letter. Within a few days, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from him saying that he has taken down the sign!

He did express rightful concern about people carrying concealed guns and drinking at the same time. I sent him a copy of the AG CCW pamplet, and directed him to page 10 where it allows CHL permit holders to be there, but not to drink or be under the influence.

Next time you're in Bellbrook, please stop in if you have the chance. :D

Thanks! I go to Bellbrook often and avoided that place because of it. I will make it a point to let them know when I go there now.

Not to hijack my own post, but:

Happy to. It's a jingle I was taught by the ARVNs I lived and work with in 67-68:

Take Soviet and ChiCom blood and brew rice wine,
Take Commie skeleton bones and build a bridge over the Ben Hai river,
Take Ho Chi Minh's beard and make a shoe brush,
Squeeze the VC heads and cook (what comes out) into sour soup.

Sure doesn't come across in English quite the same as it does in Vietnamese! The Ben Hai river is in the DMZ that split Viet Nam into two.

While I'm at it, here's a quote from Ho Chi Minh himself: không có gì quí hơn độc lập và tự do . Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom.

Hope this helps.

I have a couple friends up in Bellbrook. I might have to try this place out and shake the owner's hand for taking the sign down.
