Canton Chair Rental
Stopped by to rent some chairs for my daughter's birthday party.
Rented the chairs anyway, but it will be the last time since they now have a sign right on the front door.
I'm just wondering, other than some idiot owner being anti gun, what do they have to fear? They rent tables and chairs. Not really the first place a criminal thinks of to rob.

Re: Canton Chair Rental
Could be the owner feels strongly anti gun, or a "rogue" employee acting on their own. Or (we've seen this a bunch) the owner was sent a signage packet which falsely tells them that ALL the signs are required by law.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Re: Canton Chair Rental
When you return the chairs, take an OFCC "No Guns = No Money" card and talk with the owner or manager and help them understand that the sign doesn't do what they think or want. Do it with a smile on your face and a good attitude in your heart, and maybe you can get them to take the sign down.
If you don't have any OFCC "No Guns = No Money" cards, let me know and I can see about getting you a few.

I ordered some, but they haven't been sent yet. I know the order page says it may take a few weeks. It's only been a few days.
I will be picking up the chairs Friday and asking a few questions, and when they get returned, I will be prepared for any ignorance to be repaired.

Re: Canton Chair Rental
Before you "threaten" him with the "No Guns = No Money" card. Ask about his reason, nicely! May the signs are up based on misinformation!

All you need is a printer, you can make your own cards. Here is the link.

A card from Missouri might not impress Canton Chair Rental if in Ohio.

Fortunately, 78gs550 was just a few blocks away from me so I was able to drop off a few cards for him to use while OFCC process his order. I just love it when a plan comes together!

Interested to hear what the boss says.78gs550 wrote:Taking them back this afternoon after I get off work.

My bet is they either didn't know it was up, or someone had told them the posting was required. Most people simply aren't interested enough, and of all places to post -- a rental place ???? Doesn't follow.....

Re: Canton Chair Rental
Talked to a nice woman that wouldn't get the manager for me, and decided to take the conversation herself.
The reasoning she relayed to me was that it's for the safety of the workers there.
"If someone comes in here carrying an illegal gun, we can send them to jail"
I retorted by telling her that a lawful carry would not be breaking any laws, and that any criminal isn't even going to see their sign in the window.
The best part of the encounter, was my shirt. I was wearing my zombie apocalypse shirt because I think it's funny. It says "the hardest part about the zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited"
The woman I spoke to actually asked where I got it so she could get one. I told her I didn't know, but she wouldn't be able to wear it to work.
