Transporting NFA items (intrastate only)

Post by ArmedAviator »

This is question is not CC specific, but I figured this is best forum to ask in.

I have several suppressors that I take with me to the range. Thus far, I transport them in a pistol carrying case for ease of transport. I am curious to know if there's anything else I have to do to ensure it's legal. Additionally, would it be legal to keep them attached to my rifles while transporting them? Unloaded pistols? Loaded pistols?

I'm pretty sure the answer to loaded pistols is no, as the CHL does not give us the ability to carry the "destructive device" concealed, which that would be by my understanding. I just want clarification. FWIW, I'd love to be able to have my AR pistol loaded with M4-2000 attached in my car but don't believe there's a legal way to do so.
Good luck and stand fast, true Patriots.

In state, carry a copy of your Form 4 for each suppressor.
I keep a photocopy in my rifle case, and a photo of it on my phone.
