When we lived up that way, we went to Medina to get ours and to renew. Quick, easy, friendly. Not sure if they would be any closer for you or not.

I do believe the city of Cleveland is in Cuyahoga county. Maybe the gun hating city has something to do with influencing the poor service. Is the sheriff there a democrat?

Wow. Seems like they aren't providing enough appointment slots. Shame you don't border Wayne county, they have appointments available in mid August.

Have you looked at Lake or Geauga County? Seems like I remember they are both good to work with.

I guess in Cuyahoga plan on setting up appointment 90 days from expire date. Who know's maybe that's not enough time either.

"To Serve and Protect"....is supposed to be law enforcement's motto....guess the "servant" part has long been forgotten about.

Maybe a letter in the local papers about their poor service , or lack there of, regarding this issue is in order.

A little....no wait....a LOT of negative exposure may change things the next time !

If you live in Cuyahoga County you should be able to go to any of the six neighboring counties.
Lake, Geauga, Summit, Media, Lorain, and even Portage.

When we first got CHLs the sheriff in Portage decided that Portage neighbors Cuyahoga even though it is diagonal across the four corner meeting point.

Cuyahoga County's service is so bad BFA wrote an article about it.

Lake County gives some of the best service in the state. I was in and out in 16 minutes with my renewed license in hand.

Wow. They have changed quite a bit since we were up there then. Medina used to have walk-in service like Summit. Wonder if it is because of the new sheriff?

My last renewal was here in Miami Co. Great service but their website gives some faulty info.

Medina county is very good. That's where my initial application and the first renewal were filed.

Mine is coming up this fall, and I will likely go there again.
