So recently after taking my ccw class i had false charges pressed againsed me for domestic violence so before i turned my app in i went through court made sure i had all my i's dotted and t's crossed and at the end of the day the case was dismissed at its first hearing and it was over do you think this will affect my chances of being approved if so and i appeal and advice

The sheriff is only supposed to consider current charges and convictions so you should be OK. However, there is always the possibility that the dismissal hasn't made it completely into the system so I would recommend bringing copies of the paperwork showing the dismissal to your appointment and providing them to the clerk, just in case.

I took all the paper work showing the case was dismissed and the courts did not want to proceed with the case and that it was dismissed and all charges were dropped just nervous ill be denied its been going on 30 days and still nothing

Good news so i called hamilton county jc ccw office where i turned my app in at i let the guy know my phone was off for the last few days and i was seeing if they had called he said he just got my paper work back this morning and everything is a go they just have to process the paper work they got and print up my card said should be just a few more days!
