Can anyone recommend a clip holder?
I'm trying to find a concealed single clip holder to use with my XDS. Probably going to go IWB on my weak side, does anyone have anything to recommend?
Thanks

Four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, ammo - use in that order.
If you aren't part of the solution, then you obviously weren't properly dissolved.

Correct terms not withstanding, get a cheaper pocket knife with similar sizing to your magclipthingie, shelf the blade and use the pouch.
Acquisitions thus far:
-Slingshot
-Butter knife
-Soda straw and peas
-Sharpened pencil
-Newspaper roll
--water balloon (*diversionary*)
Yeah, I'm that good

Sigh. There is always one (or two) in the crowd.
Dustymedic, ignore the pedants.
If you are thinking about IWB, and like the hybrid style (leather backing with Kydex shell) then Crossbreed makes a nice one. I found that I didn't care for that style, and either use a OWB nylon / velcro flap carrier or pocket carry my spare mag.

I like making concealment easier as much as anybody else, but IWB instead of OWB magazine pouches really don't make much difference. Plus, the OWB's are more comfortable.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I miss-spoke once in my self defense class and said "clip". The Federal Marshall instructor reached into his pocket and gave me a paper clip and said "here, load this".dustymedic wrote:I'm trying to find a concealed single clip holder to use with my XDS. Re: Can anyone recommend a clip holder?
My preference is the Comp-Tac IWB Concealment Pouch - http://www.comp-tac.com/magazine-concea ... ouch-10628" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It comes with a tuckable strut setup.
It's geared towards concealment and comfort (the leather flap over the rear completely shields the body against the magazine and its base-plate) - the pouch, which is un-reinforced, collapses upon withdrawal of the magazine. Speed-of-access is, as any other setup, determined by the "depth of ride" of the magazine below/above the waistline.
Hybrid setups from Alien Gear and CrossBreed are also popular. Some of these setups will rigidly hold the mouth of the magazine holder open, allowing for easier tactical reloads or reloads-with-retention. Some of these options will also will allow for a dual-magazine setup.
And although I have never done it before, I would bet that various minimalist setups such as the NeoMag and SnagMag could also be used as an IWB setup, mounting at the waist, in much the same manner that a pocket-knife can be successfully set up, here.

Blade tech makes a nice OWB single mag carrier for the XDS 9mm. I've got one, works fine.

Dusty ... While it's not IWB, I've been using the horizontal Magholder for several years and like it very much (1911 and CZ versions) as it retains well, is very comfortable to wear, easy to reach during reload drills and in my experience doesn't seem to draw any unwanted attention. http://www.magholder.com/product-p/mhxd.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What's that? Well, that's my (XYZ branded) folding pocket knife, can't you see the logo on the flap?

Re: Can anyone recommend a clip holder?
I've had this Bianchi IWB mag holder for years collecting dust, prefer OWB so unused. Couple scratches on the leather from inserting mag, shown with a M&P Shield mag.
Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours if interested.
