Moving and Sheriff notification

Post by walnut red »

My wife and I will be relocating from Morrow to Delaware county. Trouble is that with a time gap between the closing on the old house and the new house being ready we will be renting in Franklin county for 6 weeks. Any idea if temporary residences count for relocation notification?

I wouldn't worry about the temp address, as I understand it their is no penalty for not notifying an address change.

Yeah, but like most CCW holders I TRY and do things correctly. Unless someone has a good argument to do otherwise I'll probably wait until the final move.

There is also no penalty for notifying of multiple moves.

Since there is no requirement that you purchase a replacement CHL card with your updated address, you are not out anything other than a stamp if you choose to notify the Sheriff of your new location every week.

Franklin County has a email address listed, so you wouldn't even need a stamp
