Moving to Ky

Post by DOA33 »

Will guys & ladies it's been fun living in OH for the last 19 years but I'm moving back home in KY. I have some questions about my CHL. Does moving still revoke my CHL? My issue date was back in 2013. My father is also moving and his was issued in 2016.

I believe I found my answer under
ORC 2923.125 F5
The concealed handgun license of a licensee who is no longer a resident of this state or no longer employed in this state, as applicable, is valid until the date of expiration on the license, and the licensee is prohibited from renewing the concealed handgun license.
I hate trying to read and understand ORC. :?

No. It is valid until the expiration date on the card. Now, KY may have rules regarding how long they recognize non-resident licenses for KY residents, you might want to llok into that as well.
