How many carrying revolvers
I've tried all kinds of different carry guns and I keep going back to my basic. A S&W 442 Airweight hammerless in .38 spl. Anyone else carrying a revolver?

Yup. S&W 342 in .38 spl. Carrying OWB in a Galco in summer and have about every pocket holster for winter carry.

Re: How many carrying revolvers
I carry a 627 PC snubnose .357 magnum with two 8-shot moon clips as backup. Still not regretting switching over to a wheelgun from my previous G30 - but I suppose I might if I get into a shootout with multiple assailants armed with semi's

Re: How many carrying revolvers
I usually carry revolvers. Anything from a Taurus 627 (Titanium) to a Chiappa Rhino 4" to a Smith 625/325 to a Taurus 44 Tracker to a Ruger LCR.
Lately I've been getting used to the Sig P320C, though, since the training I'll be doing soon is not conducive to revolvers.

Most usually and just about every day, a Ruger SP-101, IWB tuckable at 4:30 or AIWB, depending on what I'm wearing. Speed strip in watch pocket. I do break down and carry an SR1911CMD for more social occasions.

Re: How many carrying revolvers
I like the moon clip revolvers in 9mm and .45acp. The latter, in my case an S&W model 625, too big for the payload carried. However my Ruger LCR in 9mm is okay for primary carry around the house or taking trash to the curb. And, I have an S&W model 637 that was fitted up with a 9mm cylinder (from the long-discontinued model 940). Because it's an Airweight, I practice with mildish hand loads. It's a great front pocket, weak side backup gun. After fitting the cylinder I chopped the hammer and got rid of the single action notch, it's DAO now.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

I tote the Ruger SP101 once in a while with .38 +p's in the cylinder. (Nice to have the .357 mag. option, also.)

I frequently carry a Taurus 605 (3" j-frame). It conceals well.

Once upon a time .
Ruger Security Six & a S&W 642.
No longer have the desire to carry one now.

Re: How many carrying revolvers
I usually carry a Ruger SP101 .357. Sometimes a S&W 637 J-frame 38 special. Sometimes both. Both are loaded with .38 spl SWC.

Re: How many carrying revolvers
If 9mm is back in the game in a short.barrel (1050 fps or.so, standard pressure), then the 38 SPL is just.fine too with 135gr at 950 fps in a short.barrel ( +P).
Not.as much ammo, but.in the smaller guns that is 5 vs 7 or 8.
Comparing like.for.like here, which would be a Glock 43 vs a SW 642.
When.you get to the SP101, which I find carries.pretty.easily, the same weight kicks you up toward a much higher capacity 9mm. The math is not.quite.so.compelling. But 357 Mag is a.nice bonus if you like a wheel gun, and certainly doable in the SP101 (vs a SW lightweight 357).

Re: How many carrying revolvers
I sometimes carry a S&W 442 when concealment might otherwise be a problem, though I normally carry a Beretta PX4 Compact or a Kimber Ultra CDP II. When I'm in the woods, I always carry a revolver, either in .357 or .460 Magnum, depending on where I am.
