IMHO the wise thing is not to drink anything other than a soda (I like Vernor's) and drive

One beer, lol. Who drinks one beer?

I don't mind if my teeth are yellow. I just don't want my license plates yellow.

Since I have had my CCW for several years I have noticed a few things when I carry. I have a lemonade instead of a beer when I go out to eat. My driving has improved. I watch the speed limits, complete stops at stops signs, anticipate the red light change, and watch the other drivers more closely. More aware of my surroundings when I'm out. Having a CCW has it's secondary benefits!

Nice reference. Not everyone is familiar with Ohio's "drunk tags". A court can order you change your regular license plates out for one of these beauties if you are a repeat offender but have to have driving privileges:

Hmm. My driving habits haven't changed at all...except that I don't flip off as many people as I used to.

And when someone tells me they've only had one beer...I believe them.

A few judges here must still issue the party plates. Saw a set once on a Plymouth Prowler the exact same shade of yellow. I LOL'd.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Twice I've bought six packs of beer and six months later given 5 cans away.
I've quit buying beer or any thing else in the way of alcoholic beverages.

OMG!!!! YOU REMEMBERED!!!!!
That's correct. I was made aware of Old Leghumper at a church credit union annual member meeting and dinner so I bought a six pack and ended up giving away five bottles several months later.
That was over 5 years ago!

BTW Thirsty Dog Brewing is an Akron company.

I think many issue them, the problem is they can't force you to register the car in your name. Married? Just transfer all titles to her and the judge can't order party plates.

I never truly understood the purpose of them. Am I suppose to drive clear of vehicles with those? So if I see one on the highway am I allowed to speed by it since it's a sign they "may be drunk" even if they are driving perfectly fine?

I am not a lawyer. My answers are based on research, knowledge, and are generally backed up with facts, the Ohio Revised Code, or the United States Code.

"Scarlet letter" (or, actually, six numbers) shaming. I think it's the politicians' way of showing us how good that part of the War On Drugs is going.
