Re: What is your carry piece?
Forgot to add farkles -- seems relevant on a carry gun.
First thing I had to do was install Pearce +0 grip extensions to my magazines. As far as I'm concerned, this pistol is damn difficult to shoot without them, and it's an absolute pleasure to shoot with them. For $10 per mag, there's no bigger bang for the buck for a Glock 29.
Next step was to attack the pistol. Took a Dremel to it and shaved that stupid hook from the front of the trigger guard. Then, took a good bite of plastic out from under the trigger guard right where it meets the front of the grip -- that's where I get rapped on the middle finger of my shooting hand. These two Dremel scrapes not only improve the handling, feel and shootability of my pistol, it makes it look better. No hook, plus it looks like part of it was dragged down the highway. So now it LOOKS like the tool that it is. These marks go well with all the lint that it gathers when worn daily. I know David Bowie would do a better job and it would look much more professional, but this cost less ($0) and works so well.
Next farkle was the ISMI recoil spring and guide rod. My OEM guide rod with cheap, thin aluminum was chipping and it was only a few hundred rounds in. (the .40s and 9's use a plastic guide rod... at least mine had some metal in it) This setup is so much more stout, easier to deal with and zero failures in the 1,600 rounds since it was installed. Some folks laugh at those of us who replace this piece but I'm very confident in the one that I bought. 100% success rate makes me smile.
Next up was getting rid of that horrific "U" notch rear sight. I couldn't get my elevation right with that rear sight. Replaced them with Meprolights and I love them. In the daylight, I shoot great with them. In total black darkness, they aren't as bright as Trijicons and they aren't as fragile as TFO's. I'm very happy with these sights.
That's all I've done to it or for it, other than feeding it a lot of handloads. I've used Nosler 150 grain JHP's, Precision Delta 180gr FMJ's and Zero 180gr FMJ's. Typically stick with Alliant Power Pistol, but have tried a couple others. I've also dabbled with -- cover the children's ears for a moment -- cast lead bullets , 200 grain LTC's to be exact. Not running them full bore, and inspecting quite often, and haven't seen a stitch of trouble.

I like to swap brass... and I'm looking for .32 H&R Mag, .327 Fed Mag, .380 Auto and 10mm. If you have some and would like to swap for something else, send me a note!

M&P9c in a Crossbreed Supertuck. Occasionally M&P45 instead in the same holster in heavier clothing.
G26 as a backup (don't carry both at the same time, but if for any reason the 9c is out of service, as it was recently, I go to the G26)

Re: What is your carry piece?
I've been carrying a Glock 19 with XS Big Dot sights in an MTAC holster around my 7:00 area (Left Handed). It conceals fairly well in just a t shirt but as soon as I bend over or sit down, the shirt rides up, exposing the firearm. I've been debating getting a Kahr CM9 for pocket carry. The Ruger LCP is another choice but I'm not sure if I want to take the plunge into .380 yet.

Re: What is your carry piece?
It's summer so lately a LCR in 38+P with 2 speed strips, Speer JHP +p in a pocket holster or belly band. Sometimes a Kahr PM9 carried same way. Rarely I will carry my LCP in a pocket holster. Tonight with jeans on, M&P9c in ComTac Minotaur with Speer Lawman 147g +p. Can't say enough about the IWB Minoraur.

90% of the time it's a Kel-Tec PF9, the other 10% split between the Walther P99 and SW99c. Gonna need to work the 1911 in there now, I s'pose.

Kimber Ultra Carry II in a Crossbreed behind my right hip, a spare mag on the left side... Cocked and locked 24/7.... I switch that out for Kimber Custom II occasionally.

Re: What is your carry piece?
Alright I keep hearing a lot about Cross breed Supertuck IWB holsters... anyone have a link to one of these for a glock 19/23 or 26/27 assume one holster would fit both of these? Again I like to carry in the 6 O'clock position small of the back but it sounds like for riding in the car reasons I might want to move to 4 O'clockish? My problem is that it causes my t shirt or whatever I'm wearing to imprint or really bulge if wearing in on my side. Thoughts and help here??

I carry either a KAHR PM40 or my GLOCK 27. Im a fan of the .40 Cal. I carry in the 4-5 O'clockish area. I normally use a galco IWB soft leather or I have a couple of the cross-breed holsters. They are comfy but I find they dont conceal as well as some of the IWB leather galcos. Glock does make a slide clip that the backplate of your slide is inerchanged with one that has small screw mounts. I love it and to me it is the best way to conceal on any part of the waistband. If interested, i can find the website and let you know. there about 30-40 bucks.
Walking around with a concealed gun for protection is only protecting you 50% of the time, in order to have complete protection is to walk around with a concealed gun and KNOW your enviornment

Cheap and an easy way to lose parts of your anatomy you cherish. Especially dangerous with any gun without a manual safety. You need a holster that covers the trigger guard or you're rollin' the dice. Good luck to you.

Springfield EMP in .40S&W carried in CrossBreed IWB. The EMP has been worked-over by gunsmith Matt McLearn of M2i Custom Tactical in Arizona for reliability and accuracy, and has been refinished to be all black, including adding G10 grip panels (Davidson).

Re: What is your carry piece?
I'm a revolver guy. In warm weather, it is a Taurus 627 (4" barrel, .357 Mag, rolls 7) and a Taurus 617 (2" barrel, .357 Mag, rolls 7). In cold weather, I switch to moonclip fed S&Ws - namely a 625 (4" barrel, .45 ACP, rolls 6) and a 325 (2" barrel, .45 ACP, rolls 6).
The whole thing about not switching up what you carry comes with a caveat. IMHO, that means you don't carry guns with different "immediate action drills". That is, if there's a manual thumb safety then all of your carry guns should have "fire" switched in the same direction (note that frame vs. slide mounted can reverses this). Also, commonality of some other things (like mag release button) is nice.
The best of all worlds is a BUG that takes the same mags/speedloaders/moonclips as your primary. That's how I roll.

^ That's the CrossBreed website.
The CrossBreed SuperTuck and the Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC are merely most well known of the "hybrid" genre. The TheisHoslster and Kholster may well be the most affordable, but there's also Old-Faithful Holsters' example of the same, Tucker's "The Answer," Garrett Industries' "What the Tuck?" JMC's "Alpha," Galco's "King Tuck" and the DeSantis Intruder, which are just a few examples that I can remember, off the top of my head. Similarly, there are also differently constructed "hybrids," such as the Blade-Tech Hybrid, which is a complete polymer hardshell underneath an overlay of leather.
There's advantages and shortcomings to each and every one of these offerings, both those which are unique to the product as well as those that are "part-and-parcel" of the hybrid genre.
