So, bringing this thread back from the dead, an Ohio County can create zoning rules for unincorporated township with-in said county. For example, Cuyahoga County can created zoning regulations for the two townships in their county (Olmstead Township and Chagrin Falls Township). Cite: http://planning.co.cuyahoga.oh.us/subdivision/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does this County zoning power apply to shooting and hunting, as the County zoning overrules the township zoning?

And were would one find Cuyahoga regulations applying to those two township (other than at the cite above)? Or ORC where it does not apply?

Zoning regulations don't apply to what you can do on your residential property per se. They can't tell you that you can't shoot on your property. However, they can tell you that you can't pile a mound of dirt 10 feet high and 10 feet wide on the back of your property. They can also say you can't permanently hang steel plates back there. Basically, they can eliminate any permanent backstop one would build. However, they can't say no shooting.

I am not a lawyer. My answers are based on research, knowledge, and are generally backed up with facts, the Ohio Revised Code, or the United States Code.
