Post by Petrovich »

Each have suffered a terrible personal tragedy, at the hands of evil people.

However, instead of going after the people responsible for their tragedy, they pick easier, and safer targets.

Personally, I think all three are lazy, incapable of creativity; and are merely lashing out with no clear purpose. They are unwilling, or unable, to put forth the effort, determination and courage to seek out their real enemies...so they pick softer targets thinking that if they do something.....anything; it will help ease their pain.

The are worthy of little more than pity.

The city of Cincinnati once brought in Sarah Brady to speak on behalf of pending anti-gun legislation, at a public hearing held at City Hall in council chambers.

After the meeting ended, several Cincy police officers were discussing who was going to walk her back to her hotel. (Hey, they couldn't just pay her to come in and speak/lie, they put her up, fed her, etc.) Anyhow, none of the cops in question really wanted to play escort, and the discussion continued. Meanwhile, Ms. Brady started to walk down to the first floor. I had the opportunity, unwitnessed--no cameras in City Hall then either--to kick her down that long flight of stairs, and didn't do it.

I hope y'all can look past this flaw in my character.

If there's a point here, it's that Brady has turned her tragedy into a full time, well compensated career. Dunno if the other women mentioned here have done that, yet.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Come to think of it, that Congress-critter from NYC (forget her name) got into politics after her husband was gunned down by Collin Ferguson on the Long Island Railroad. Always thought that Suzanne Gratia-Hupp from Texas sort of cancelled her out though, and was much nicer looking to boot! :D

Speaking of aesthetics, Petrofergov, how's about replacing that gut-wrencing avatar you're using with a nice picture of almost anything...Say, that Buckeye Outdoors place is a really attractive building, how's about a snapshot of that?

(No foolin', I stopped in there the week before the Party in the Park, was on sort of a mini-jaunt across Ohio at the time. Nice store!)

I guess I was absent, due to I was doing anything else at the time... what tragedy did Toby Hoover have that turned her into a stupid hag? Did she break a nail in the sporting goods department at Wally world? Maybe she peed her pants in public when a Gun Store opened up down the street?

I don't know, seriously, but it still doesn't change the fact that P4G is right on the money, AND he needs to change his avatar.

She had a son or daughter shot and killed. I can't remember which.

It seems to be a fairly common phenomenon. A parent loses a child to gun violence, and they go after lawful gun owners. Go figure.

As for the avatar....know thine enemy.

I don't understand the mind set of blaming the weapon. I lost a brother over 20 years ago during a "crime of passion". Do I blame the weapon or firearm manufacturer? No I blame the worthless individual whose actions caused his death.

He could have just as easily used a knife or shovel but he chose a firearm.

People such as Sarah Brady must do something to feel productive to counter the violence instilled on a loved one. The problem is - their passion has overpowered and blinded their common sense and ability to reason.

The sword itself is not dangerous - it is a tool.

 toby lost her husband, he chose not to defend himself either

as for the rest of these nazis, there is a great article about this "victim class", i believe its called "raging against self defense"

a yahoo search will find it for you and its well worth the read.

as for anyone else that doesn't respect life enough to want to defend it, well, thats their choice. as for myself...I AIM TO PLEASE...I'LL SHOOT TO LIVE thank you very much.

on another topic...I commend the city council of the peoples republic of kolumbus for their AWB, which takes effect soon, for proving once again that TYRANNY IS ALWAYS BETTER ORGANIZED THAN FREEDOM !!!

To whom are you referring to as the others in "either"? You should be careful in your posts in that since you did not quote or specify to whom/what you are referring your post could be construed as to reference the previous post. I would hope you did not infer that all killed by guns fail to defend themselves. Remember that prior to the CCW in Ohio our "right" to protect and defend ourselves was infringed.

Ok, P4G, that is an acceptable and respectable response. You may want to consider putting that under the avatar... "Know thine enemy." That would definitely help.

The Sarah Brady avatar gave me the creeps. I can only imagine how her hubby feels every time he wakes up next to her. The thought is too hideous to comprehend!!!! :(

That's for absolute certain.

Hmmph. Mr. Rogers. Thanks anyway... I'd rather have other neighbors. Ones armed to the teeth.

I am ignorant on this subject. Was Mr. Rodgers an anti gunnner? If he was too bad. I grew up watching his show. Someone told me he was a marine sniper in Vietnam and that he always wore long sleeves to cover marine tatoos on his arms. I have no idea if this is true or not. Can anyone fill me in?

Mr. Rogers was not a military veteran as memory serves, he was a Methodist (?) minister. Go look at snopes.com, Brian H. Pretty sure they have collected several Internet yarns about Mr. Rogers through the years.
