Page one of this thread, first post, by meanstreaker. Here...

There are about 30 pending additions (waiting for a mod to edit), and, I've got about 15 left to paw through, then I'm back to refreshing the articles for leads...

OK, I've updated the new addresses.

I'm updating the first post of this thread as well as the story on the main news page: www.OhioCCW.org

Thanks for all your hard work tracking these down, MySQLQuery!

Anytime, for such a great cause!

I've got the last list in to sabalo, so, look out for one more.

I think, that this is probably as big as it needs to be...

You might also advise them that thousands of shooters are headed into the area in July for the Nationals, & will be spending a lot of money & not just at Camp Perry

I don't know if this has been suggested elsewhere, but since [I believe] that the NRA is now involved, could not information regarding advertisers be included in the shooter's packets for the Nationals? As was mentioned, and as everyone knows, a LOT of shooters spend a LOT of money in Erie and Sandusky counties during the Nationals.

And lest anyone consider this some sort of radical or inappropriate action, I recall there being all sorts of information on local businesses and attractions in the packets already.

Informational handouts in the shooter's packets could go a long way toward steering shooting consumers toward the right businesses and away from the wrong ones during their stays in the area.

I received the following e-mail from Douglas W. Foster, Pres.
Foster Chevrolet-Cadillac, Inc.
I replied and thanked him for his support

Mr. Hamilton,

Thank you for your concern relating to the Sandusky Register and their
publishing of the CCW holders. As I have related to others, I am one of those listed and I can assure you that I am not at all happy with that paper. Other than trying to make a point, there is absolutely no reason to print it. (As I have read the law, I thought that was illegal.) Unfortunately, businesses must advertise, but we have cut back on our spending with the Register.

When I speak with the publisher, I will certainly be echoing the same
sentiments as yourself.

I have been a Life Member of the NRA for years and I also personally try
not to do any business with businesses who post the "no weapons allowed"
signage when possible.

I made a slight addition to MeanStreaker's letter and sent it to Kalahari resort.
Dear Sir/Madam:

I am contacting you today as a concerned paying guest and up until now a repeat customer. My family and I have been guests at Kalahari Resort – Sandusky as part of a larger group of families for the last several years.

The rest of the letter was MeanStreaker's. We'll see what happens.

I have recieved serveral positive emails from advertisers that I contacted. To be clear, I am not boycoting any of the advertisers (they need to get their message out so I don't blame them) but I am asking that they apply pressure when talking to the Sandusky Register.

They have much more leverage then we do. PS Support Foster Chevrolet... They are good guys.

That's the funeral home that sent "blah blah blah". Hope they're not just messing with us.
