Thank you!
Have done it, will go again.
I suggest stopping at the CMP North Store while there, to drool over some M1 Garands...

Where can I find more info on this? Like what type of guns are allowed, how it works, who's allowed, Etc... Love doing something more than punching holes in paper.

Go to FriendsofCampPerry.org and look up the rules.

Basically, anything is allowed, no larger than .45 caliber. Juniors may shoot with an adult (parent) with them.

one or two targets pop up for about five seconds then go down for a total of 40 targets. They range from 7 to 31 meters. There are pauses between each set and occasionally, longer pauses. If you're fast, you can switch magazines between the small pauses and easily during the longer pauses, but if you use revolvers, bring friend to reload your cylinders. You may have multiple handguns on the table.

All guns, even revolvers are unloaded until given the command to load. About 5 seconds later, things start so you have very little time to get revolvers loaded. Get your best one done and have a friend load the others.

And have FUN! :D

Excellent day! The wind was a bit strong, but very warm. T-shirts ruled the day. Unfortunately, only five lanes were working so it was taking twice as long.

I finally got up to shoot in Relay 35, 37,38, and 40. Scores were 39 with my CZ 85, 36 each with my Glock 22 and Springfield XD Mod 2, and a 37 with an old Smith & Wesson 496. My daughter had a 19 using her "new" Ruger Mark I with ammo that didn't work well with her magazines and her Kel-tec P11 argued with her. I slipped her my CZ as I made some adjustments to her situation. She did well with the number of shots she got off.

My friends did well shooting in the mid to upper 30's. I let my one buddy borrow my CZ 85 and he then scored the only 40 in our group. Another past student used the CZ 85 for a while before switching to his XD where he promptly missed the closest target. They liked the feel of a full-steel gun.

Over all, a very good day! :)

But yes, what a beautiful day to spend at Camp Perry.

I didn't score well but had a good time.
