I think first place paid out somewhere between 150 and 100.. Second was around 75.

We previously paid a cash prize for third place but not this year.

No one will be able to retire if they win, but they'll have a little extra pocket change.

Jake, have you ever done or considered Lewis Class prizes? It spreads the cash out among more people, but admittedly nobody wins much more than their entry fee.

In my match director days at one club, we got a lot more frequent flyer participants that way, over a period of years.

I'll not muck up this thread by explaining Lewis Class since you likely know of it; somewhat commonly seen in trap/skeet.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Not sure what you call cheap, but there is a holiday Inn express locally.

Likewise. Always good to see the Pirate.

Last time, I signed up but couldn't attend at the last minute.

The time prior, I outshot Jake with his own gun. Wait, no, he was shooting his own gun. I was shooting his wife's gun with Jake's crappy reloads.

Now I'm too busy to shoot much, I'll be happy if I place 24 or above (i.e. Top Half)

I think you just guaranteed that you'll come in last.
:P
I'll happily challenge you to a rematch. Bring your own crappy reloads if you like.
