I'll be there both days.

It's just too much fun to not go!

Getting in to the show for free is a nice perk, but getting a chance to win a gun for each day you work a shift is AWESOME !!

I had a great time with Chuck, Aaron, and Dave (Shortland) that one time, and I would LOVE to do it again. I even have that weekend off. But, alas, my car cannot make the trip to Cowtown. If anyone else from up this way decides to go and I could hitch a ride, I'd be more than happy.

Glad to see OFCC has given up on the Westland Mall show.

It has been a waste of time and money, for quite a while.

I believe this last weekend was the final time Westland will be used for gun shows. Place was falling apart a little more every time I visited.

Believe that promoter will be moving their Columbus events to the Ohio Expo Center over by the state fairgrounds. It's a better venue, but as memory serves it's NEVER free parking there no matter who is leasing that facility for whatever purpose.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!

Who the f*** are you? How many times have YOU worked the OFCC table at Westland Mall?

Sorry. I meant to say: I don't understand your comment.

The table at the Westland Mall show is donated to OFCC and everyone who sets up and staffs the table are volunteers. Since we keep a show kit locally (banner, tablecloth, flyers, cards, etc.) we don't have any shipping costs. We also get free admission to the show, so it costs us nothing to run the table for the weekend.

And I wouldn't call it a waste of time. While I don't have the total amounts, I do know that we have always made money for OFCC, through donations, memberships and renewals.

It also helps keep the OFCC name in front of people and introduces us to those who are unfamiliar with us.

By the way is my info about C&E moving the shows from Westland to the Expo Center correct, Chuck and Dave? Got that from a friend who's usually dialed in pretty good, however Reagan's saying about "Trust, but verify" is always good advice.

Um, wrong on all counts.

I've never engaged (any) OFCC people at the table. Sorry

Yeah, LOL.

The Ammo guy screaming (front and center) and MFing people because of his prices ? (because he can't compete with the internet)

I guess the promoter had received reservations from more venders as almost the entire place was set up with tables, but many did not show up for whatever reason."

So you put money in the jar but just didn't "engage" us?"
And you're complaining about the lack of camaraderie?

I suppose my question would be why not?

At least you are gracing our forums with your numerous positive post about our work at the gun shows.

We are not there to worry about the firearms, lack of firearms, or other items being sold at the show, or even if the patrons are happy with the venue. We are there to make people aware of our organization, and the work we do. We try to make people aware that there are places out there, like this forum, where they can communicate with like minded individuals, and also stay informed on the ever changing gun laws in Ohio. It really gets irritating to see people come to a thread, that is asking for volunteers to work the shows, and whine about how bad the shows are. If all you want to do is complain about the shows, maybe you should complain to the promoter, instead of in these threads.

I guess the moral of the story is, if you don't have anything nice to say,,, don't say anything at all!
