Is it posted anywhere that this is a no questions asked, no charges filed buyback ? I can't seem to find that statement in any of the articles or on the Cleveland Police Foundation website.

How do these things normally go? I was thinking about making the trip up in the hopes of finding a good deal. Is there an etiquette, or is it a free for all?

What kind of store is it (TruNorthShell), just a dandified gas station? w/ w-o a car wash?
I have an old (no finish, cylinder rotates freely) revolver I could turn in. Is it restricted to local residents only?
Acquisitions thus far:

-Slingshot
-Butter knife
-Soda straw and peas
-Sharpened pencil
-Newspaper roll
--water balloon (*diversionary*)

Yeah, I'm that good

It turned into a melee with people walking in on others, sharking and trying to bid up guns.
It got a little silly.
I think the enthusiasm and forcefulness might turn off some prospective sellers.

It would be nice if all those who want to attend could come to some sort of gentleman’s agreement on such matters. Like once someone is negotiating no butting in. Or perhaps even better, no one offers more than 150.00 per hand gun 250.00 per long gun cash. First come first served working cooperatively. Basically just one up the city to save as many nice guns from the melting pot as possible without being a jerk to each other. Dare I say it an organized counter buy back.

It would be nice if we could get everyone to operate under these guidelines.

It appears that Cleveland Heights is trying to get some of the action themselves:

2015 Gun Buy-Back Program
The Cleveland Heights Police Department will be participating in a gun buyback program in conjunction with the City of Cleveland the Cleveland Police Department on August 22, 2015 between the hours of 0900 and 1200noon In exchange for an operable handgun or semi-automatic rifle, citizens will be given either a $100 (handgun) or $200 (semi-automatic rifle) food gift card and two tickets to an upcoming Gladiators or Lake Erie Monsters game.
I'm confused, though. In one place they say they want a semi-automatic rifle but then they say only an "assault rifle".

I think y'all should go to Cleveland Hts. It should be much less crowded with buyers.

What should us tourists do P guy ? The excitement of seeing so much of NE Ohio during one whirlwind weekend would be too much for us SW rubes.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
