For what it's worth, there is a locked thread on OpenCarry.org (OCDO) where Grapeshot, one of the founders and moderators of OCDO (also a director of the well-known VCDL) visited the OFCC forums whilst some folks on OCDO were "talkin' trash" about OFCC and our attitudes toward open carry. His conclusions:
Official ruling, called decision - no determined organizational bias against OC by OFCC known.
Just took some time to look around OFCC's "Ohio Open Carry Discussions" and I can tell you I saw nothing there egregious or screeching against OC.

Some die hards are concerned about the negative public impact, but that you'll find anywhere. They do have OC practitioners and they schedule events where OC is the order of the day to make the point that good guys carry guns too. All in all, they are very much like the posters here - they want to keep themselves and their loved ones safe AND advance the cause of our RKBA.

I find no evidence of a concerted effort to suppress OC or limit the discussion thereof. I like the site and wish them well.
I think we have more solidarity with the open carry advocates than some people think.

And always have.
Way back when, OFCC used Open Carry events to bring attention to our cause and to drum up support for Concealed Carry Licensing,
and without those events, I probably wouldn't have ever gotten involved in the activism I do.
Heck, I met most of my friends on this forum at OC events that were publicized right here in the Open Carry sub forum, including Carmen.

I wrote this summary of my first full year with the Open Carry crowd of OFCC three years ago, and the it's only gotten better since then

Just to let everyone know, we have added a 4th gun to the mix!

The four being raffled will be:

RIA 1911 .45
Ruger SR40
Smith & Wesson M&P9 compact
Smith & Wesson 22A .22lr in Camo

We will also be doing giveaways and door prizes the entire picnic along with basket raffles for each chapter filled with firearm prizes. We will also be giving away quite a few Free CHL gift certificates to some trainers around the state.
