I believe you need a total of 5 posts to be able to use the PM system - so you are almost there!

As far as helping, right now the closest gun show we regularly run a table for is Medina. So, a bit of a drive for you, but not bad.

I'm getting geared up for the season, so I will know more about schedules later this weekend. I'll hit you up and we can talk - in the meantime, get a couple more forum posts in so you can PM.

I'd be interested in getting back into manning the table at Medina again next year, too, Dave !

If I get a moment, I'll dig up the Medina gun show skedule, or maybe Steve might jump in and post it .

And it would be good to have ya Scott !

Always look'in for more help !

Just wondering if there's anything newer scheduled? I'd love to help out if anything's nearby.

Gun shows are not currently attended by OFCC due to the china virus. That may change some time in the future.

To be honest, it's less about the China Virus and more about a lack of volunteers to be show leads and workers.

I'm not convinced the "reward" is worth the effort any longer. In the early days of licensed carry, there were lots of people seeking (and truly in need of) accurate information about the subject. But CHLs have now been available for 17+ years. Sure newbies still come on the scene, but the very nature of how we interact and communicate with others has changed since 2004. The act of speaking face to face with others is almost becoming a quaint, obsolete way of doing things a lot of times. People are at gun shows to shop, then compare prices to what their phone interwebs say, not have a conversation.

Maybe some of you frequent volunteers like JustaShooter and Steve feel differently though. I'm not of the "If we only reach ONE person this weekend, it was all worth it!" mindset.
Quit worrying, hide your gun well, shut up, and CARRY that handgun!
