The announcement is up for this year's Party in the Park!

http://www.ohioccw.org/201005124870/ofc ... ark-7.html

When: Sat. July 31st
11am to 6pm
Where: Liberty Park

One thing I want to point out because we get questions every year... these are e-tickets. You will not get anything in the mail!

Here's a link to the promo flyer: http://www.ohioccw.org/images/stories/p ... _park7.pdf

Print it out and hang it up wherever you think it might be useful!

Anyone who wants to donate door prizes, please send me an EMAIL (not PM!). We always get last minute submissions at the picnic, which I'm grateful for, but I'd like to try to organize it better this year and know ahead of time.

i just tried to order a ticket through the webstore, Daniel. The shopping program wanted to add $10.49 for shipping and handling??? That's a new wrinkle, considering that nothing is actually shipped, as you pointed out.

Daniel replied to the e-mail I sent him. The shipping and handling charge is no longer added to the PITP ticket price.

Still haven't bought my ticket(s) yet because I am waiting on the girlfriend to let me know if she wants to come or not. If not I'd say there's still a high probability I will come, but not 100% sure...

Do you have to be a paying member to attend the PITP? I am currently unemployed, have been since March 2009 when the company i worked at for 22 years moved to Mexico, and going to school so funds are tighter than a gnats a**! I am new to CC and this website but intend to join when things look up in the wallet because i believe in what this site stands for and trys to achieve politically. Just wont be anytime soon.

No, the PITP7 page on the main web site says, "All members and supporters are invited to attend!" and, "Meal purchase not required to attend."

You need not be a member and you don't have to buy a meal ticket to attend the party.

At least send Mini-Evan out to the PITP, he seemed to enjoy himself immensely last year!

Are you kidding? Last year he didn't drag home until o-dark-thirty, and he had a little teeny lampshade on his head. I have no idea where he found a teeny little lampshade. The next morning he was sick and talking about nearly drowning in the coleslaw. Did they even serve coleslaw last year?
