Went and Shot it...

Post by PAJOHNOHIO »

I went and shot the shooter's challenge this evening at Atwell's in Painesville. Not a huge turnout, so it allowed me to shoot the course twice.

I shot the "Carry" division.

They have you shoot 18 rounds at 25 feet within 45 seconds, then 50 feet within 60 seconds then 14 rounds at 10 feet within 30 seconds.

I felt it was way too much time. But, it gave me the opportunity to meet a few new people and best of all, shoot.

My carry Les Baer TRS performed flawlessly. I shot the "Alpha Ring" out of existance both times. But then again, had plenty of time between shots.

Small range, but very friendly people running it.

If you are in this area, you should come out and shoot it.

I went early and just watched. I was the fat dude with the indiana jones hat. Looking into a .22 rifle for the 'tactical' and 'two gun' shoots. I have my XD's and might shoot "carry" next week. All depends if I can find a .22 rifle that interests me.

That said, I won't be making it out there every week. It's a long way from home and crossing Cleveland during rush hour sucks.

I would love to do this but I am not available Thursdays. This Summer I'll come out if they are still holding it.
