Do you need help setting up?
I've had consistently good results with ether.

Help is always appreciated.
I generally get to the club straight from work. Should be there by 4:15-4:20.

If you get there and the gate is locked, I'll be along shortly.

Thanks for the offer.

Another great night.
Another new face as well.

The sun is setting earlier now. It won't be long before we're shooting under the lights again.

I'll try to get the scores posted by the end of the weekend.

Next shoot is this coming Thursday eve. (9/20).
May want to bring 3 mags if you haven't been.

If you only have two, we'll let you "upload" one of your mags.

I decided to look at the first post date.
It's been 4 years since we first started doing this shoot.
Attendance has remained pretty solid, even in the winter months (we still shoot outdoors).

I can assuredly say that it's been a very rewarding and educational experience.
I hope that those of you who've attended have enjoyed it.

I've (very) slowly been experimenting with doing different things to make the event more challenging as we grow comfortable or become too complacent in our training. Funds for new toys are not as available as I'd like, so we have to get creative sometimes.
I've been fortunate to have people make or donate items periodically that have enhanced the shoot for us.

I'm happy to announce that a new "toy" will be finding its way onto our "play ground".
Barring something unexpected, we'll be breaking (not literally, I hope) it in at the next shoot.

As usual, if you're attending this month's shoot (10/18) , bring at least 50 rounds of ammo and a min. of 2-3 mags / speed loaders and break open that piggy bank as it's going to cost you a whopping $5.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks bad...until about 3pm.
Chance of rain diminishes to 0% by 4pm.
Don't let the weather scare you away tomorrow.

We have a new item that we're going to debut.

That's the last time I go a month without getting to a range and practice. That was just......abysmal.

We meet again for the first of two times this month, on Thursday, 11/15.
Best to arrive no later than 5:45pm.

We'll be taking another crack at the Drop Turn among other things.

Our next shoot on 11/29 will have a low light stage.
Please bring a flashlight if you intend on participating.
There may be a loaner available, but I can't say for certain.

Due to this being our first attempt at trying this, expect the unexpected.

There will likely be just 2 stages on that night.
I suspect things will be moving at a much slower pace during the low light stage.

For safety reasons, the low light stage will not be scored on time, only accuracy.
This may change during future low light stages. Lets see how this one works out.

It looks like a few of our regulars will be out of town so, we may be able to run at least 1 stage more than once.

You may want to bring extra ammo, just in case (and a flashlight if you have one).
I should have a spare light if anyone needs one.

The low light night was a big success. I think there were a few who learned a thing or two.

One individual thought they'd be able to just use their laser to identify targets.
Doesn't work that way.

Anyhow, next Thursday's shoot will involve some different targets.
These targets readily identify areas that will hopefully stop a threat from further engaging.
For those stages, we'll be focusing on making those threat stopping shots (while you're under pressure).

We'll also have our usual plate stage.
I'll try to throw in a twist.
