Looks like we're going to have quite a diversity of guns.

If I may add...
If for some reason, any of you who have or will have RSVP'd are unable to attend, please let me know.

This way I can let the restaurant have an accurate head count.

Thanks!

I sure hope we can make it, but I just can't commit yet. I hope it's O.K. if I bring my Better Half, she really is a good sport...

One question...Would I be able to fire my carry handgun, re-load my Speer Gold Dots after shooting FMJs, then re-holster my sidearm? Of course it will stay in the holster from that point...

I'll bring my Sig Mosquito if that is a problem, and I'll just shoot that. Was going to bring that anyway...hoping to get my Bride to squeeze off a few...

Hey Gonzo,

If I understand your question, you basically want to fire off your old S/D ammo, reload with some fresh and then have your loaded carry gun on your side for the day?

The problem with that is that we're running a cold range that day.
Since this is a shooting event, safety rules must be followed – just like any IDPA or other organized shooting event. All participants must comply with the Range Master or Safety Officer’s instructions.

· No alcoholic beverages will be permitted on Salem Hunting Club property during this event.

· Guns to be fired during the event must remain unloaded and holstered or cased when not at the firing line.

· The Range Master/Safety Officer will give the command to load your firearm when your course of fire is to begin; do not load your firearm until told to do so!

· After you’ve completed the particular string of firing for that course, the Range Master or Safety Officer will ask you to demonstrate that your gun is clear. Do not leave the firing line until the Range Master or Safety Officer gives you explicit permission to do so.

You can fire off your old S/D ammo during one of the shooting scenarios if you like.

Hope that helps, and just pm me when you know if you can make it. Hope to see you and your bride there.
:D

My uncle and aunt from WV will also attend.

Expect to see some Govt. 45's and an XD in the same caliber.

I am holding off on my next pistol purchase until I get a chance to shoot a few people's .45s on the 19th. I'm seriously thinking of adding one to the meager collection, despite it being a caliber orphan. I'm beginning to not feel like a true American w/o a .45.

I'll bring some ammo.!

Oh goodie...I don't have to be in LA on business. So, I'm in and I'm bringing...well, you can guess.

PS Morne has never fired a Glock...don't let him leave without a try!!! I'm bringing one he'll love.

I'm in! The local port festival is the same weekend, so we'll go Friday and then I'm in the clear for Saturday. Woo Haah! Let's shoot! :D I believe my Father in Law is coming as well. He's been interested in purchasing a firearm. I told him the best way to decide is to come shooting. He said OK. Put us down for dinner.

Hi Power & Ruger Single Six.

I'd like to try shooting some of them newfangled double action guns.
See you there.

Another reminder......
Tonight at 9p.m. is the cut off for RSVP's.

We're at 30 people now! :D

Please, confirm if you CANNOT make Dinner.

Thanks Guys/Gals...we're going to have a great time.

One other suggestion....

If you were planning on bringing only one gun, please rethink that.
We had a member have a malfunction recently during CCW Shooting League.
He was done for the night, and we had just started.

If you only have 1 gun, there's not much more you can do I suppose, unless you want to treat yourself to a nice present before the shoot.

Jake,

I'm trying to figure out how to carry four pistols to the event. I think I have a scheme that will work, provided that I NEVER sit down.

ALL in .45 ACP, of course. 8)
